Solitude, A Way To the Soul

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her, will bring her into the wilderness, and speak to comfort her. I will give her her vineyards from there, and the Valley of Achor as a door of hope; she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, as in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.”

─Hosea 2:14-15, NKJV

Sometimes as a writer, God will take you to solitude. It’s okay. He wants you to rely on Him. He wants to comfort your heart before you give comfort to others (v. 14). It’s nice to keep encouraging each other. But, if we can’t encourage ourselves, even though people encourage us, it is useless. It’s also nice to read many books on writings and learn from other writers. But, if we never write, it’s a vain.

As a writer, you also should give up to yourself. I mean, surrender. I know it isn’t easy. When you surrender yourself, you can touch others’ life. Your trials can be a blessing (v. 15).
